Some dental issues go deeper than what’s visible on the surface

Traditional 2D X-rays don’t always reveal everything we need. Digital scanning 3D imaging lets us look deeper and spot issues that might otherwise go unnoticed — especially in complex orthodontic or surgical cases.

Smarter Diagnostics

Smarter Insights, Right from the Start

See your entire dental anatomy in detail — including roots, nerves, and bone — so we can catch what 2D images often miss.

Benefits

Benefits of 3D X-Ray Imaging

Total Clarity — Inside and Out

No more guessing. We see your dental roots, nerves, bone structure, and jaw joints in 360° — so nothing gets missed.

Precise Plans = Better Results

From braces to surgery, your treatment is based on hard data — which means fewer surprises, smoother steps, and lasting outcomes.

Fast, Safe, and Painless

One quick scan. Ultra-low radiation. No discomfort. Just clear insights in minutes — and peace of mind from the start.

Catch Problems Early

We detect hidden infections, jaw joints problems, bone loss, or impacted teeth before they become big issues — saving you time, pain, and money.

Clarity, From Every Angle

We begin with a quick, low-radiation 3D scan to understand what’s happening below the surface

Start Your Journey
Step 1

A Quick, Comfortable X-ray

Stand or sit — the device captures everything in seconds. No discomfort, no special prep needed.

Step 2

A Full 3D View

The X-Ray shows detailed layers of your teeth, jaw, roots, and nerves — revealing what 2D X-rays can’t.

Step 3

Smarter Planing

With everything visible in 3D, your treatment can be mapped out with precision — from diagnosis to step-by-step care.

Step 4

Clear, Visual Explanation

You’ll get to see the scan and understand exactly what’s going on — so every decision feels informed and transparent.

When We Use 3D Imaging

We keep things simple — but in moments where clarity matters most, 3D imaging lets us act with more certainty and less risk.

When Something Feels Off, But Isn’t Visible

If you’re experiencing pain, pressure, or symptoms your dentist can’t fully explain, a 3D scan can reveal hidden infections, cysts, or bone changes that 2D images miss.

Before Complex or High-Precision Treatments

For things like implants, jaw surgery, impacted teeth, or braces in adults — this X-ray gives a full view of your anatomy to help prevent surprises and guide safer care.

If You’ve Had Past Dental Work or Ongoing Issues

Previous root canals, extractions, or orthodontic treatment? A 3D X-ray helps us check how everything has healed, spot what’s changed, and plan next steps with clarity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need a 3D x-ray, or is a regular one enough?

In many cases, a regular X-ray is fine. But if we need to see dental roots, nerves, or jaw structure more clearly — especially for complex treatments — a 3D scan gives us the full picture.

Is a 3D dental scan safe for kids and adults?

Yes, absolutely.
The radiation dose is only slightly higher than that of two standard X-rays. The scan is performed in low-dose mode—quick, completely painless, and safe for both children and adults.

Do I need a 3D x-ray at every visit?

No, 3D x-ray is used for the primary diagnostic. In some patients a 3D x-ray is necessary during the treatment or at the end, e.g. in complex cases, for jaw joint analysis, for surgical planning, or with unexplained treatment course.

How long does a 3D x-ray take?

The scan itself takes less than a minute. There’s no preparation needed, and you can go back to your day immediately after.

Does my insurance cover 3D dental X-rays?

Statutory health insurance does not cover 3D X-ray scans.
Supplementary insurance—depending on the plan—and nearly all private insurers typically cover the cost. We’re happy to help you verify coverage in advance.
